Most of you have probably already seen this, but just posting in case someone missed it! :)

I was hoping for some gameplay footage during Sony's conference, but I'll settle with another pretty trailer lol.

I am just curious as to when people may be playing once this comes out?
With MMORPGS, I tend to be on late late, like anywhere from midnight to 6am, EST.  I ended up with a lot of players from Singapore, who didn't speak English all the time.  I was hoping to find a group that would be on late night.

Looks like the application to apply for the beta test of the PS3 version is now underway :D

Also, if you register your copy of FFXIII, you get a promotional code for FFXIV, which is asked for in the application. Of course you don't need this code to submit the application, but I would imagine that Square Enix will be selecting a lot of people who have this code.

Oh, and in the last question of the application, I of course linked SE to this community ;)
I know it's kinda dead right now since there really hasn't been much FFXIV news, but let's show SE that this comm is still active lol!! xD

So yeah, everyone go apply and good luck with being selected~!!! :DDD

Does any one know of a site where you can run a test to see if you would be able to play certain MMORPGs?
I know I used it when I wanted to see if I could play Age of Conan, but had it bookmarked on my old (broken) computer.
If not, does any one know what a computer would need to run FF14 decently?

So if you havn't heard yet, the signups for the FFXIV Beta went live yesterday.  You can sign up for it at http://entry.ffxiv.com

You have to have a Squareenix Membership to signup (if you don't have one you can sign up for one real quick once your there)

The signup process isn't very long, just a few questions about your MMORPG experience and also you current PC setup. They are saying that people chosen will not be based on whomever signsup the earliest, so no rush right¿
Either way, didn't see anyone had posted about this so thought I'd give the heads up. Hope to see you all in game ^_^

"Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY"
Performed by The Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and the
Elmhurst College Concert Choir
Conducted by Arnie Roth
Rosemont Theatre
December 12, 2009
Guest Artist: Nobuo Uematsu and the Chicago Mages
Guest Vocalist: Susan Calloway

The "Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY" concert on December 12, 2009 at 8 p.m. at The Rosemont Theatre, will feature never before heard new works by the Japanese video game composer Nobuo Uematsu from the not yet released FINAL FANTASY XIV game. The premiere of the newly written Final Fantasy XIV music, performed by the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, will pre-date the release of the video game and will give fans an exclusive opportunity to be the first to hear the music live and in concert. "We've never done anything like this before as we typically perform music after the release of each particular video game. The fans attending the Chicago concert will be the first to hear the music performed by over 100 performers, including a live orchestra and chorus, before hearing it on their computers when they play the game! This video game music sneak peak is an exciting new prospect that Square Enix Co.,Ltd.(Square Enix) has allowed us to present and should be a thrilling premiere for the fans and performers," said Arnie Roth, Music Director and Executive Producer, "Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY."

Anyone going? :D I know I'm definitely going to be there!! XD

Don't think this has been posted... but SE is showing off some of the FFXIV emotes for us. I like how the characters are more animated.. I always thought they seemed a little 'stiff' in FFXI. But anyway.. Just sharing.
